I love to see New Orleans making more use of rooftops for bars, pools, and lounges.

It is very nice to see. Gone from being rare, to almost all new buildings and rehabs. No reason not to do it in my mind.

Getting a NOBU Hotel as well is a huge win for the city! Would love if we can keep the higher end traveler push going. A St Regis, Mandarin Oriental would be a great addition to the city

On economic news

Levelset, a local tech startup HQ’ed on Magazine, just had a $500M exit. Exits like this can have potential pitfalls (large layoffs) but may also result in local expansion. We will see but hopefully they just don’t move it all to Austin.

https://www.nola.com/news/business/a...d792a9091.html

These exits can also spur more startups as folks who had stock might up and start their next company or fund others. We shall see!

In the long run, this is good for the region since it shows that successful startup ventures are possible here. I also don't see Scott Wolfe leaving town if he has a choice in the matter.

Anyone have an idea on what the pile driving occurring on the left side of the work zone camera? Perhaps it's for the Brown's dairy development, but I can't tell for sure.

I saw that the Drive Shack project got delayed, but it's now time for the council to step up and say build or get out. Like to many other developers they are getting away without any consequences. I noticed that Ida did a number on the structure and one side of the brick wall has collapsed and there is tin all over the place. I believe that this is Jay Banks district. He needs to step up and say enough is enough and start fining them to clean up their mess. I'm tired of the local developers taking advantage of the city. First the hard rock, then the plaza now another half built falling down driving range. The city needs to step up.
