So, most of Hillview Terrace still looks like the Glorious Motherland's Siberian work camp:

But about half of it has been remade into more colourful versions of the same thing, or Home Port "apartment hotel":

That is much better. Was going to suggest you post it in the Ugly Canada thread but the reclad does improve it.

^^ Based on that small bit of glass already up, that should look ridiculously nice when done. Way better than the original.

Over the past few years, Effort Trust has been installing new balconies with glass railings on a bunch of their buildings in Hamilton. This is the biggest renovation so far.
I posted that ^ last year. Here's an update...

They ended up getting a full reclad, not just new balconies. They completely changed the colour scheme to white, grey, and blue. You can see the east tower in the center of this photo, peaking out from behind the Olympia...

The reclad of Fenwick Tower has started in Halifax. It is currently the tallest building in the city. The reclad is part of a larger development called South Village: http://www.southvillagehfx.com/

Some early photos:

^ You do know that if it's mostly black, it might virtually disappear, right?

This reminds me a bit of the Bow Valley campus building they reclad in Calgary. Brutalist buildings actually work really well with this type of metal paneling.
