It looks as though they may be diverting the canal into smaller waterways in certain areas for scenic purposes... or am I hallucinating? It seems like this is what's occuring around bassins du Havre where new streets are popping up.
In any case, this area is turning out quite nicely. So much so that I just bought a condo near Wellington and Sucrerie street.
Chose that side of the canal because for the most part prices seem a lot more affordable for the moment, and I'm assuming that won't remain the case for much longer.
My new home is right beside the Nordelec, which I am really hoping sells well - a thousand or so new middle-class residents would help remedy the lack of commercial offerings on Centre street at the moment.
Anyhow, I'll be contributing some interesting photo angles from my rooftop terasse in the near future - moving in next month
