Designwise, I think it was the best option, and is a nice counter the the "bow" below. It'll be visible from the street, meaning the street will also be visible. I can't wait to get up there.
Speaking of decks, from this one, you will be surrounded in a sea of skyscrapers, from 30 Hudson to One Vanderbilt (where a crane now stands), and the new Chase tower,
as well as the towers to the north (Central Park, Steinway, etc.)
