Chicago has a long history of Mayors that were chummy with Presidents.

They're separate LLCs, but yeah.

And "chummy" is a matter of perspective. When the city was desperate to get a nice restaurant as the concessionaire in Millennium Park, they were perfectly fine with a fixed lease payment. Once Millennium Park proved to be a big hit, now the city suddenly decided it wanted a percentage of sales. The city lost the case.

Anyone else going to be at the LSE presentation tonight? I'm super excited to see some renderings -- I'm kind of surprised they haven't leaked. I can post pics, if no one else does.

875 feet. Building I will be the last to be built. Developer just said it will depend on the reception for the other two buildings, or something along those lines.

WOW! Simply spectacular! BKL is usually either hit or miss in my opinion, and this is a hit out of the ballpark. It is the perfect building for that site. It is really going to anchor that corner of LSE. I can't wait to see it as part of the skyline in a few years. Even though it doesn't have the height some of us wanted, I don't think it really matters with a building as spectacular as that. Good job BKL.

So a little taller than Aqua? Kind of a let down for those wanting height.

Thanks! I see that David mentioned some kind of pedestrian ramp on the east side of LSE – what kind of connectivity are they planning from the east side to the lakefront? A little hard to discern from the photo.
