Marjorie McNeely Conservatory

The Marjorie McNeely Conservatory is a part of the Como Zoo in Saint Paul, Minnesota. I remember going here when I was a young child and there is nothing better than enjoying the tropical weather of the conservatory on a day when the tempurature only reaches 5 degrees.

I couldn't believe it! When I turned the corner I thought I saw a sloth in the tree. After further inspection I was right! They actually had a sloth just hangin' out up there. No exibit, no fences, just a sloth.

Thanks for viewing! Constructive criticism is always appreciated!

Cool pics, plantboy. So does your handle have any meaning in this area? I especially enjoyed the Bromeliad and Banana tree photos.

This one made me smile. Bromeliads. My dad grew these for years. Our yard was like a tropical paradise. He had over 400 plants in the yard including about 25 spieces of Bromeliads. Pine apples are actually the fruit of a kind of Bromeliad.

In fact my screename does relate. I went to school for a few years for landscape design. Unfortunately I didn't finish my degree. I am not too familiar with the tropical plants, but I can still name all scientific names for plants that grow in Zone 4a!
