On the bus just now, and I saw a Budget Demolition fence surrounding the school next to St. Patrick's Church. As far as I knew that school was still open, I wonder if they're going to rebuild. The public board's been doing that recently.

A new school on the site approved by the province about 2 weeks ago.
According to the article, the architects are the same ones behind Bishop Ryan, Bishop Tonnos, St. Gabriel in Winona, and St. Thomas the Apostle in Waterdown. I do like the design, though.
I must make an amendment to my statement about the corner 3 story building on the SW corner of Victoria and King. The owner, whoever that may be, did indeed vacate the tenants, and replaced the windows to the apartments. Someone was smashing them, and someone close by who witnessed said acticity alerted the police who came around and found the man inside the building. He was taken from the premises, but who knows what they were able to do. So - no razing of the property. I just wonder how extensive the owner is intending to renovate.
Rebel's Rock is closing (supposedly planned before Covid). I've always wondered about the empty space beside it for development. Curious if the buyer for the building would try and incorporate the Rebel Rock space as part of a bigger project. Probably unlikely, but with the LRT moving forward, who knows.
So my partner and I climbed on the lions in the front of where Embassy used to be. We noticed the interior has what seems to be renovated. I've spoken to a club that says it's opening downtown "Mansion Nightclub". They haven't announced the location, but it seems it may be going into this building.

Let's hope they can erase the smear that was the embassy - that place was run horribly.

"The Boys" has used it for a filming location, probably just left over set dressing from that.

No, it looks like new finishes for bathrooms, coat check and things like that. Saw a new bar up as well. Looks too permanent to be just a set.

There is a permit for 154 James St N that was issued in 2020:
Alterations to the ground floor of the existing 3-storey mixed use commercial/residential building to create a restaurant, "MONSTER DONUTS."
It seems that after having a successful pop-up on Cannon, that Donut Monster may be opening a permanent second location on James and Cannon corner?

That's a positive development for Monster Donuts and a possible good anchor tenant. Donut Monster might have some issues with that name (yes I'm being sarcastic).
I noticed a new big Fengate and LiUNA sign yesterday at the former police station on Hamilton Mountain, Upper Wellington. I guess they own the property.
The property at the southeast corner of Ottawa and Cannon has fencing around it and a sign that reads Demolition, I think from Budget Environmental. There seems to be some activity on the site. Does anyone know what's going on?

I believe you're talking about 180 Ottawa, affordable housing:

Indwell's bought it, looks like they're gutting it to build affordable housing. Neat thing is they're keeping the commercial spaces on the first floor, yay for the streetscape
