10 St Mary | 197.73m | 60s | Mattamy Homes | a—A l approved

This condo, office, retail tower is now approved 10 storeys taller at 60 storeys, just a couple metres shy of the 200m benchmark.

No new renderings yet, but the diagrams below show they’ve redistributed the original massing in favour of a taller, thinner tower (dumping the shifting boxes/setback motif).

A near 200 metre tower in the city use to be a big deal… now just more infill in the forest near Yonge and Bloor. Below in gold in @steveve’s future rendering.

I think that's quite an over-estimate on the 2025 number...

It's the number from the diagrams. If not 2025 than the vast majority should be completed in 2026. I have not checked each project though.

Would be interesting to see the percentage from different cities. Without looking I'd wager it would be something like 65% Toronto (city), 10% each for Calgary and Montreal, roughly 5% each for metro Vancouver, non-Toronto GTA, and 5% the rest of the country (KWC, Ed, etc.)

You really think 90 new towers will break ground in the next 2 years?

Approx. 70 more skyscrapers are added in 2026.

The vast majority of those 130 towers would have to break ground in the next 2 years... that's very unlikely, even in this housing crunch. Many of these will fall to the wayside and not get built...

I've been aware of Burnaby doing the database updates. Calgary is a bit of a surprise.

near future - under construction right now in the database

Montreal - 7.5% (Maestria counted as one complex - 9.0% as two towers)
Vaughan - 6.0%
Coquitlam - 4.5%
Pickering - 4.5% ( I don't think all the towers in this three tower skyscraper project are being constructed)

Well most importantly here is the info for the 150 metre 43 floor UBC tower currently U/C in downtown Kelowna
