Nice pictures. I'd like to do a full Bedford thread sometime. There are some interesting buildings on the Bedford highway and some nice heritage homes. There's also a place called Eagle Rock (or something similar) that has pretty good views of the area.

Yah Eagle's Rock is technically Admirals Cove Park in Eaglewood. I live on top of the cliff and have a beautiful view of the Rockingham/Fairview coastline.

Again, nice photos. The views are great from that hill and the forest in the area is really nice looking. I'd suggest posting a couple of them here if you want more people to see them: http://forum.skyscraperpage.com/showthread.php?t=117697

Thanks i put some of the better ones up there. The views are awesome from the cliff. The beautiful weather was attracting all the lovebirds and hikers for the sunset tonight. It's certainly a unique park. You can see from the mouth of the Sackville River all the way down to the Purdy's Wharf and Fenwick Tower. If anyone has a spot they want a picture of in Bfd i'll happily try to get there A.S.A.P. I'm planning on hitting the Sackville Trail next Friday or Saturday (the River, historic Bedford, chickenburger, office towers, ballfield, the two malls, ect).

Nice shots. You've got some nice midrises in Bedford in (what I assume would be without really knowing the area) downtown. The one I recall most vividly is a glass-curtain one roughly across from Smitty's. Not sure how it would turn out in a photo, but I've always liked that one.

Keep it up Bedford DJ.

PS- I posted the link in the "Atlantic Photos" thread in the Atlantic forum so more people would see it.

Thanks for that link. The glass tower your talking about is the Sun Tower. It's probably the best building in town. I'll snap a picture tomorrow my bus stop is in front of it. There's three office towers in Bedford (two nice, one ugly) all around Sunnyside.
Smitty's in the middle of the two nice towers. As for downtown Bedford doesn't really have a "downtown" instead we have a "strip" stretching from Sunnyside down to the Waterfront/Mill Cove. The plans call for Mill Cove to become downtown (with mid-rises and ferry terminal).

Bedford has a lot more buildings then people think. Many people still think of Bedford as a town of 6'000 people at the end of the Harbour. Tripling our population to approximately 20'000 people in 25 years has attracted many new buildings and because of land constrants the buildings have slowly gotten bigger and taller. According to district populations on the HRM website Bedford has more people then Lower Sackville, Downtown, North End and the South End.

Just an little update. The Lawton's Building in the first group of photos being built now has some walls up. Eventhough two stories may seem like nothing, in Bedford this certainly sticks out when you come around the curve at the Ravines. I'll snap a picture as soon as i can get down there.
