Hopefully this proposal is back on track. A great design, that will surely be the new icon and signature tower for Miami's skyline.

Absolutely, I love this proposal!

Miami and the USA needs it.

This and the Brickell financial II would drastically change the skyline

Such a shame. They would have had been complementary to One Bayfront Plaza like the World Trade Center to the Empire State Building. I hope something similar would rise down in Miami. I wonder why at the last minute they didn't turn them into mix use buildings.

It's approved. Construction should start on 2013 because they have to demolish an existing building to make room for this tower.

Well,if you put it that way, since New York will not have that kind of skyline anymore,Miami could of revived it.

Good! I'm glad to hear it. Let's hope the construction will start sometime in 2013. I can't wait to see it!

This is the 18 story building that has to be demolished before they commence construction. The developers are the owners of this building as well and have been developing highrises in Miami since 1969 so I'm not concerned about the viabilty of this project but they proceed with caution hence why they are still in business and didn't lose their shirts in the many cyclical real estate busts of the past. They are also honoring the leases that are still in effect as well.

Is there an actual height limit in Miami?

The city has an amazing amount of highrises but no supertall buildings, with a few of those it could truly be a world skyline.

PS. someone should make a diagram of this building

^ great so now we have to wait another 3 years before even constructions starts now? So by the time this building opens it will have been a total of 11 years since it was first proposed to opening day.
