Is bush temple ever going to take down that fire escape or would it not pass fire code? I just remember working at 209 s. Lasalle when they took down the fire escape for the J.W. construction and made the building so much more sexy.

Amazingly the bus that passes by there doesn't run on Sundays... I guess carless Mormons are out of luck.

Gr333n 5/4/19 The glass is looking very reflective, should look good when it's done.

167 N Green Looks like we're about to have a mat pour

As far as Econo-boxes, Gr333n(and presumably her sisters) are as well designed as it gets. I'm pretty content with them and the other couple towers of comparable size going up with a block of them.

Wasn't Gr333n supposed to have more black coloring in it? It doesn't really look like the renders.

This building is definitely disappointing compared to the renderings. The black was much more pronounced in the rendering, it almost looks like black steel beams. The actual product looks like very cheap one dimensional black snap on caps (Which it is).

730 N Milwaukee (The Mill) 5/5. The Talon curtain wall system looks good.

725 w Randolph will add a nice peak in here and anchor it.. and also be a quality skyline-extender from many angles

The Mill's glass looks pretty close, but it looks very blue in this photo which is why it could be throwing us off. There should be some darker brick and banding? between the windows by the end.

I'm also disappointed with Gr333n. I thought it would be darker too.

The Mill's Rendering appears to be window wall. I'm glad they chose curtain wall instead.

Also you're right, the brick work should be sharp.

Yes, the brick will really bring this one together. Glass looks phenomenal.

That didn't take long. The pile driving ended on Saturday (PTL) and that crane was still in place this morning, along with all the stuff they needed to clean up from the piling work. They're moving on this one!

I think gebs' report was premature. The pile company is still on site this morning finishing up and cleaning out, the only crane I see is the one they were using. I See no sign of a new crane being assembled. I'm sure it will come soon, however.

My mistake -- I saw what I assumed was crane pieces on site and thought they were going to put it together soon.

As you were.
