Thanks for the kind comments. I'm really loving the wide angle but can't wait for some warmer weather. Winter in Ottawa is nice and all (it's a winter city) but my fingers hurt taking pictures when it's -20C (...that's right, below 0F...regularly!)

@xzmattzx: I think that rowhouse is a one-off, there may have been more but most of that area was torn down for modern offices and apartments.

The squirrel is a red squirrel, they're everywhere once you get a bit north. Thankfully they mostly live in the forest and not in the city because they're very noisy. In the city we have the familiar black and grey squirrels.

@HHC: I've done a bunch of residential tours of Ottawa (http://forum.skyscraperpage.com/show...40&postcount=3) and there will be more.

Btw, that "blimp" is the new Ottawa Convention Centre, it's looking good.

cold, grey, gritty, plus graffiti and concrete. And spellbinding. You make a city in winter look exotic, and I want to be there.

In fact this kind of things is often written in english in any town of France as well, because that street gang culture is originally from the US. That's it.

@flar Real cool feeling to catch things around you like you've got some smart sense of observation, the Montreal thread was awesome as well.

'Hobophobia', that's gold. I would have given him a couple bucks for making me smile.

Great thread.
