Just in that image alone, that cluster would redefine some mid-sized Midwestern cities.

Might be hard to spot in the jungle, but if you look at 3 WTC, in between 3 WTC and 99 Church, you'll find 45 Park Place.

The tower on the far left is 25 Park Row. Right next to the Crap with the pvc piping as a crown called 5 Beekman.

^Beautiful photos. It looks tall when shot from street level, looking up. But it's just a total blip on the overall skyline when viewed from afar. What a city.

What cities? It is 3 buildings...albeit it very handsome ones. Really digging this particular project.

You stick anything near that magnitude in Oklahoma City or Mobile, AL or Kansas City, MO... and it would completely change the skyline and really stand out. My point is that NY has clusters or skyscraper nodes that if set aside, would rival a lot of smaller cities. DoBro for example or even LIC. Hell... DoBro alone is bigger than most CBD's.

We just don't notice the scale as we are use to it. Kinda like how 800 ft in NY seems normal, and compared to its surroundings, small... but we forget that 800 ft would look very tall in other places. Even in Newark NJ, tallest tower is something like 465 ft, and it looks huge compared to most things, but in NY, its nada... nothing really. Not even on the bloody radar in Manhattan for example.

It was more of a concept, not pointing towards any particular cities per say.

from West Broadway, it is incredible that South of Canal Street and Jersey City are the only spots where you can easily see the tower stand out, everywhere else you need to have binoculars or zoom in as it blends with the skyscrapers of lower manhattan like it is not there. this is a 670 feet tall building and you can barely see it, this is incredible since Lower Manhattan has less building mass than midtown.

45 Park Place Topping Out At 667 Feet Tall, In Tribeca

Quote:
Vertical construction at 45 Park Place is coming to a close, as workers appear to have reached the top floors of the stepped, reinforced concrete superstructure. The 667-foot-tall residential skyscraper, which is located along the border of Tribeca and the Financial District, is being designed by SOMA Architects with Ismael Leyva Architects serving as the executive and residential architect. Sharif el-Gamal of Soho Properties is the developer of the 43-story property. Sales of the units, which feature interiors designed by Piero Lissoni, are being handled by Corcoran Sunshine.

New photos from the World Trade Center show the safety cocoon appearing to reach the last floors. The final levels will form a stepped crown that will be covered in the glass curtain wall that is making its way upward. The entire skin of the skyscraper is uniform in style, scale, and proportion.

Meanwhile, a community facility that is set to stand to the west of the skyscraper has yet to begin construction. It will be placed in the northern corner of the property toward the back, and feature a landscaped outdoor plaza that leads up to the structure. There has been no word on when construction will begin on this phase of the project, which will stand 71 feet tall and be addressed as 51 Park Place. Scott Newman of Cooper Robertson is listed as the architect for the upcoming 16,000-square-foot facility.

Construction of 45 Park Place will most likely be completed next year.
