What are some of forumers' favourite buildings, houses, particular city styles, landmarks/monuments, infrastructure or interior design features outside of Canada?
Something like the Chrysler Building might elicit near-unanimity in terms of being one of the most beautiful and iconic skyscrapers in the world, but tastes would likely diverge on other choices.
For ease of reading and faster loading (after not following this idea myself in another thread), please limit it to five picks per post, with one photo for each. To clarify, they can also have been designed by a Canadian as long as located outside the country and still standing.
Some initial ones that come to mind:
1) The Jewel Box, St. Louis
2) The Gateway Arch, also St. Louis
3) Viaduc de Millau, France
4) Sana'a skyline, Yemen (not sure if Saudi Arabia has destroyed any of this yet)
5) Staircase of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Brasilia
