Yes, I spoke with the Bike shop owner, they are at the Library now. I own a condo next to the site and want to move in, but would rather wait till they get out of the ground first.

From the Urban Design meeting last year.

"The mechanical strategy is compartmentalized floor by floor with a VRF system with heat recovery so each floor is treated independently as its own unit. "

They wanted a second floor restaurant but couldn't fit it in the FSR.

Not sure if it has been formally approved by the DP yet.

A fence has appeared now. Mind you, it might just be to keep the homeless from camping out in the doorways. Hopefully it's a sign of imminent demolition.

Great, that part of the street is very prominent, the City needs to put some haste into this job.

And how would the City do that? They can delay things, obviously, but they can't make anything happen faster. That's up to the developer and the contractors.

It's always tough to tell what the holdup is during this phase of a project, it could be cost, design, City, leasing/sales, financing. So many variables right before a project launch.

Before today I was able to see in some of the windows and it looked like they were starting to gut the interiors. There were piles of stuff visible.

Today, the windows are all covered.

Thanks.
I'll remember to walk on the other side of the street.

PS - the walkway behind (by the former Thai place) shows how old the building is with the arched brick openings.

https://renx.ca/conditions-ripe-for-...strata-office/

Apparently 11% of the strata has sold and they plan to start construction this spring.

It's a small building so I don't see them having difficulties selling the space.

Thanks for the update.

Found some renderings in a recent marketing video (youtube.com/watch?v=SMwf66O_l4c) that haven't been posted before:

The official address is 807 Seymour Street (thread name change?) and the building name is:

"The Seymour"
http://theseymour.ca/

The above video is at the website.

The back of the Thai place fronting Seymour has been demolished.
Pic by me today.

Good stuff, thanks for the update.

This project may be a victim of the current environment with only 3/12 unit sales to date. Maybe check back in 2-3 years.
Hope I'm wrong.

Pics by me today:

Looks like the back wall of the former framing store with the arched windows is still standing.
(Shows the age of the building)

LOL'd at the website location description:
The Seymour is situated between Gastown and Yaletown, two of the cities most vibrant beighbourhoods

Yaletown edge I could see as a huge stretch, but absolutely 100% no to anything Gastown related

You'd think "on Robson" would be a bigger draw.
