Townhouse podiums look stupid. metro van cities don't want to put towers up against single family houses yet they seem fine with sticking them right beside a row of townhouses?

Again, another building in Metrotown with sort of a lantern at the top... Especially in that area, this design is seriously getting overused. Polaris rendering shows a design that is so similar to The Park, but the black slabs that run from the bottom to the top caps it out nicely. If all goes according to the rendering, then this can be a really great new addition to that already super dense cluster of buildings.

It's possible that the reason you don't see the other Polygon buildings in most of those renders is because the view is actually facing South and the only other tower that would be visible in that situation would be Amacon's Imperial.

The one with the faint building seems to be in a different direction and indeed might be suggesting that that ghosted tower is Midori.

It's par for the course for a developer to present their tower as if it's the only building in a sparse wilderness of flatness when the reality (particularly in this specific location with 6 other towers and counting) is the exact opposite.
The people with East-facing units will get the clear free views they were promised (and the west-facing units I suppose). Other units will be in a forest of towers so.....so much for those views.

Also this tower has all the "greatest" hits
The lantern at the top.....
The asymmetric boxes at the corners....
The reverse-pitched penthouse heritage-style roof on the crown (on the other side)....

In fact I'm actually quite surprised they didn't go with the obligatory seaform green spandrel and instead opted for something a bit louder in that Neon-green-like palette.
But then again, who knows how much of this will actually make it into the finished building.
Count me as pleasantly surprised that Imperial next door kept that strong blue spandrel and Crown color.
A nice change from all the greens and grays we're normally force-fed.

Nice shots.

Thanks for these.
They really put it in context and show how the tower sits relative to the neighbouring towers.
(and also how close they all are to each other).

Can't see in the photo, but I think they've starting installing glass in the base layers. Almost 10 floors now. 5/10/19

I love townhouse podiums. When it doesn't make sense to have retail, it's a great way to animate the street. Way better than having the tower stand in a lawn or parking lot.

Thanks.

There's a pretty healthy gap between Vittorio and The Imperial.

The same can't be said about the Vittorio and Midori. I'm sure the residents of the south facing homes at Midori and residents of what will be the north facing homes at Vittorio will have lovely views of each other?

I walk by often and the spacing between Midori and Vittorio is indeed strangle tight. Otherwise Vittorio is turning out very mediocre. They should have used more yellow on it.

Yeah, the renderings showed yellow spandrel bands at one of the corners.
Looks like that has been replaced by gray.
