ATTN: Nominations for Getting to know your SSP photographers....

So Fern has been non-responsive to the request for participation so I decided to open up nominations again in the absence of HIMS who also seems to be on a hiatus again.

My personal nomination still remains Hayward.

If any one else would like to make a nomination of second mine then please do so. I would like to get this thread going again.

I think Hayward's a good choice... Just waiting patiently for another year or so until I get called by the committee.

Hayward sounds good! Also, has Okayyou been nominated? Wouldn't mind seeing LSyd and hauntedheadnc either.

Surprisingly, Okayyou has not been nominated before. Neither have LSyd or hauntedheadnc.

Good picks.

To be honest your work is very good now and getting better but you have yet to develop a true personal style yet. You need a definitive glowrock style. Ya dig? You'll get there.

I think we will let this keep going for the rest of this week and see what other forum members have to say.

Perhaps to keep this series going, we should have a solid list of those who are next in order. If a nominated forumer doesn't submit their info in two or so weeks, it goes to the next nominated and then the first forumer will be the next in line or so.

Okayyou has shown strong work from his threads from Europe, Africa, and Asia. As well as LSyd and hauntedheadnc with their threads from throughout to South.

I like the idea of a two week window.

I think it should definitely be Okayyou. And perhaps we should interview some photographers that have already been interviewed? A lot can change in the few years between interviews.

Okayyou is a great choice, no doubt about it. I also think Hayward and LSyd are great choices as well. Speaking of great photographers, what about BroncoCSU05?

We could just ask all of these guys. All are worthy. I am not familiar with Bronco. To the search!

EDIT:

I did a search for bronco. His photos are okay but his last thread was from 2009. I think we should focus on active members that have contributed more recently.

I think we should just start over nominating people, doesnt matter if they were nominated in the past. Its been years for some of us since we were nominated and I have a hell of a lot of new work since I did my submission like 2 years ago. I vote for SomeformofHuman to go first though!

Well there is obviously interest in keeping this thread moving but I think the way it is setup isn't conducive to quick replies. How many people could we have heard from if we hadn't waited for one person to respond? I like having the photographer nominate the next person but we need a backup plan if that person never responds. Maybe an ongoing poll and if two weeks past the person with the most nominations gets to go.

Also, any thoughts about additional questions? I think the original interview format was taken from flickr so no reason it needs to stay the same. Maybe 'In what area do you feel you could improve the most?' or 'What have been your best/worst photographic moments?' or 'How does photography fit into the rest of your life?'

Thanks Diskojoe for getting this moving again.

I think this interview has some good questions. If we are serious about changing the format of this maybe a few of these could be added.

Thanks for the feed back everyone. I've been busy at work so I apologize for not posting something sooner. I'll take a look at new questions to add to the interview. Will also send out requests to okay you and Hayward since all agree on their worthiness.
