I don't know how to embed this video but I thought it was kinda neet, and a whacked out sort of way.

That last photo is amazing. I've never actually seen that view in person.

I loved that last one too. Makes me want them to hurry up and do the Hike and Bike Trail - Boardwalk expansion already!

^Once that thing is finished, I can see myself spending a LOT of time there. I could sit there all day.

I have a similar photo to that 2nd one that I took from that spot last summer as the background on my computer. The east side views along the river are just as good, and in some ways even better.

Yeah, that wasn't cool, and I would be willing to bet that Lyle Lovett is probably one of the nicest people you could hope to meet.

You mean Jim Varney. He was ok, too. He actually did a tv spot for KVUE News back in the 80s. I have a t-shirt with his face on it with something about KVUE News across the top. I remember my dad wearing it. He used to scrunch up Ernest's face to make my mom and me laugh.

Yes! That guy. I wasn't calling Lyle Lovett stupid though... just thought he looked like him a little in that photo. I used to call Ernest's character, stupid Ernest, or Ernest stupid, or something like that.

I've heard the same about Lovett (even though he's an aggie).

After all, Julia Roberts didn't marry him for his looks or money.

It's nice to see somebody obviously ejoying themselves downtown like any other tourist.

Here are some pictures I took off my back deck around lunch time today. I also took some early this morning but the sun was all wrong and they were horrible. Summer time is kinda hard to get photos from my house. When the sun is just right there is just way to much heat coming up from the city so it messes them all up. I might try some more tomorrow after supper or the next evening.

I'll start downtown and go north to UT, then do some tall pictures of downtown, and then go from the Long Center down south to St Edwards Uni.

I might have double posted one or two. Hope not. If so sorry.

Wow! That's quite a view you have there. Are you able to see the control tower at the airport? I wonder if you'd be able to see the observation tower they're planning at the F1 track.
