Good riddance to this month! I just read a couple days ago that the average temperature for February was 24 degrees, which is one degree warmer than fricken Anchorage, Alaska. It's gotten to the point where 22 degree days don't even phase me any more, whereas my previous threshold for "damn it's cold" was somewhere further up around 28-30. Thank heavens we didn't get slammed with snow like Boston (see my photos of that historic mess here) but nobody has been able to escape this nonstop arctic air mass.
As a result I didn't get out too much, but of course I still managed to snap 300 kabillion pictures...
I spent a lot of time wandering around the perfect dystopia that is Penn Station. Everyone hates this place, but what I think they need to realize is that it's so bad that it crosses the uncanny valley and ends up being so bad it's good. It's pretty much a Goldeneye level incarnate.
OK time to leave behind that labyrinthine hellhole and get some vitamin D
Forget it Jake, it's Chinatown
On a bus heading for Boston...
Aaaaaand back in The City
Time for a little Long Island, from specifically around the Five Towns and Long Beach area (I have lots of friends from around there)
Long Beach
Long Island car pr0n!1!
(sorry can't resist cars)
Back to The City
Oops
Back to the river to see the ice floes
Aaaaand back to my perch one more time
OK see ya next month

Whoa, making me homesick here! Not only can you just barely see my parents' apartment building in one of the Long Beach shots, one of your Forest Hills shots was taken from the Queens Boulevard median right next to the building where I lived for nine years. If I were still there, I'd have been able to see you taking the photo out my window.
