4 Cootes Dr | ? | 6 fl | Proposed

SPA-21-001

"To construct a new six-storey parking structure containing 567 parking spaces."

This is where the small parking lot off of Westaway Rd is west of the interchange with Cootes Drive near McMaster.

https://www.google.ca/maps/@43.26297.../data=!3m1!1e3

Looks to be additional parking for the university.

Of note, this is the first site plan application of 2021!

Probably in anticipation of buildings planned to go up on lots around the main campus.

Damn, my dad is going to be annoyed by this, that's where his parking lot is! He'll be walking a bit further is seems once he's back in office.

Yes, near the corner of Cootes and Main. It got shelved when the LRT funding was yanked away.

I can't find the posts of the proposal after a quick search, but there were some details here, I think in one of the transit threads.

I parked there one summer during grad school. A fairly convenient walk to Burke Science Building, and it was still much cheaper than parking right on the main campus without being way out in the boonies like the big lots down the Westaway hill.
