Reminds me of the Time Warner Center in NY but with a little twist. I like it. Looks like a very promising project and the colors make the towers look very classy...

These are nice towers, but COMPLETELY misplaced! What is the point in building 1000+ft towers when there is absolutely nothing around? It isn't as if the view is going to get better after the 50th floor...

Is the cross section a triangle or a parallelogram ?
I'm confused.

you could always say this...what if people like you had stopped the ESB in the 1930s because there was nothing around? or the sears tower...one building will everytime be the first..but we can discuss if jeddah will have a real skyline in a few decades..
btw: really nice towers!

^ Except back then, there WASN'T nothing around in Midtown Manhattan...

As for the tower; its beautiful, but I agree, it's definately too tall for the area.

Site looks abandoned in these pictures but according to the people living there it's not. I think piling is finished now since ACC will be coming to start work soon

I hope it's not abandoned! This is a pretty cool project and I'd hate to see it go down...

this little downtown is in the same area/neighborhood that Lamar Towers are being built so you do have a view. the area/neighborhood is called Jeddah corniche. Also Jeddah has four buildings that are completed that are over 500 feet tall, one tower is over 800 feet tall
so you do have a view. basically this tower is not in downtown, but more closer to the sea then the other tall structure.

Arabtec Saudi Arabia announced it has been awarded a US $533 million (SAR2 billion) contract to build Lamar Towers in Jeddah.

“The Lamar Towers project is an important strategic high rise luxury project on the Jeddah Sea Front Corniche,” the company said in a statement.

The joint venture between Dubai-based Arabtec Holdings; CPC Services, a member of the Saudi Binladin Group; and Prime International Group Services said it received the letter of award today.

The project consists of two towers, one 68 storeys and the other 60 storeys, and incorporates residential and commercial units as well as a shopping mall.

The main investor is Zahran Real Estate Company and the main developer is Cayan Investment & Development Company.

The project is scheduled to start immediately since the major enabling and site preparations work is already completed and the project is expected to take 36 months to complete.

Arabtec Saudi Arabia was formed in March and is 40% owned by Arabtec, 35% owned by CPC Services and 20% owned by Prime International Group Services.
