CALGARY | London at Heritage Station | ?M / ?FT | 27 Floors

Part of a four tower project. This tower was cancelled back in 2009, but is back in progress. Pile Drivers are on site and construction is starting again.

Not a great looking design, but good density near an LRT station. On a positive note, the first two towers that were built turned out better than the renderings.

These towers are so ugly, too bad they are in a fairly prominent location...

So does each tower have its own name or has the name of the project been changed from London to Camden? I hope they don't bring back their annoying "I like London London London London London..." ad campaign.

Each tower has it's own name. The overall project is called London at Heritage, but the first two towers were Abbey and Croydon.

Lousy design and once again.... no significant height! Another mid-20 story piece of crap!

Why can't developers in Calgary build taller more slender towers.... Everyone else is! They're in this "bulk up" craze!

Ohhhhh shit! This is part of London? I didn't realize the 3rd tower was going through. I knew about the Camden but thought it was part of a different development. Good stuff!

Unfortunately I don't think it's going up for a while yet. It looked like construction was starting, but it turned out to be work on the parkade. I've heard it's about a year away still.

Was past there the other day and the North side of the parkade was at grade.

CALGARY | London Tower Phase II South | ?M / ?FT | 27 FLOORS

Same info as the north tower. Two buildings, two phases intended to be rental units. Planning commission has approved this already.

Quote:

DEVELOPMENT PERMIT – NEW: APARTMENT BUILDING,
(2 PHASES, 2 BUILDINGS, 646 UNITS)
HAYSBORO (WARD 11)
HORTON ROAD SW AND HULL AVENUE SW

This application is for a proposed 2 tower, 646 unit residential development which forms the
final two phases of a comprehensive mixed-use development approved by Calgary Planning
Commission in 2005. The applicant is proposing a two-phase development, with each phase
consisting of a 27 storey residential tower

Nothing fancy, but still better than the original towers. Good addition of density to Heritage Station TOD.

This one is recommended for approval by the city! Can't wait to see if it goes ahead. I work at Heritage Square so will be able to do updates as it goes. The addition of 150 units over the original proposal is a huge bonus.
