Its not very good, but its blue and its in a dead-zone of downtown so go for it, not that you need my permission.

I feel like every developer must have this in the back of their mind at this point.

I'm gonna bet it's a dark cool gray with rendering effects to reflect the "blue" of the sky. Like so many silver building renderings that people call blue because they reflect the sky.
Having said that, a dark blue gray would be , well, "cool".

Peep that little walkway connecting the two buildings. Nice detail.

Yep. Here's another larger version from the Statesman article that shows it. The shorter building sort of reminds me of the old warehouses in the midwest the way it relates to the taller building, especially with that walkway.

I don't think so. It is clearly opaque cladding and distinctly different than the glazing. If it was reflecting the sky, the color would change by direction and time of day. It is almost indigo!

I am really excited about this one! In the beginning I thought this would be a super boring project. The cladding will really stand out.

Not sure how I feel about the blue unless it's going to be a super super deep blue. I love the copper color below it though

I like it, or I think I like it. The blue cladding is interesting and hopefully will not look like more blue glass when finished. This part of downtown definitely can use more height and housing units. I think the Med Center will be a very big job factory in years to come. The new tall buildings overlooking the park will be very nice. I wish something similar could happen on the west side of park as well.

You mean the State parking garages? Ain't ever gonna happen.
That's a permanent monument commemorating the War between Austin and the State of Texas.
The State won.

Nice. This one should have two cranes eventually.

This section of dt is showing some potential...if the construction keeps going.
