that's a shame.. there should be stiffer punishments for developers invovled in building scandals. I hope whatever eventually gets built there will be a new landmark for the Peg.

I was talking with a friend last night and he was saying that an OEB Breakfast Co. restaurant is meant to open in 300 Main. I hope this works out, I been to one of the Calgary locations and really enjoyed the meal. A bit pricy but I think it could compete for one of the top breakfast/brunch spots in Winnipeg

Their website lists 330 Main as a location opening soon.

Looking good!

Yeah, for sure

I think Winnipeg will be ok for high rises, although it may take time. Once the economy shifts back east over the next decade from oil/gas, and the Peg continues to grow, Im sure we will see more proposals in the 100m plus height range

300 main is already a landmark building, and if infill continues then building taller will just make more sense for developers in the future

Is there going to be another horizontal beam at the height of the vertical one jutting out on the right (south) side of the building? Or is that topmost horizontal beam as of right now the final one?

The "hat" will require one more flat level on top of the last level shown in the Canada Life Place pictures. They are currently at the top of the full building width in the plan below. Still to go is the part in the middle and the hat. The red is where they are.

How about the spot behind it, in the former St Regis spot? I haven't been lurking as closely and haven't seen any updates on the 40 storey monstrosity they thought of plunking down there.
