Cloudy with spits of flurries almost all day, no accumulation, hovering just above freezing. A few moments of sun. Now the wind has picked up strongly again.

No snow so far in the Ottawa region, just pissy rain. Looks like it could change over at any time.

Windy with some showers this morning. Winds gusting 40-60 out of the NW. Made for a fun drive south for 1.5 hours. Still windy at noon but clearing up and the temp was climbing. 3, 5, 5 11, 13 and 13 the next few days

Blizzard here with serious snow accumulations underway; 10-15cm I am hearing.

Looks like Ottawa got about 9cm yesterday with another 5 to 10 today. Looking out the window it doesn't look like 9cm but a lot of it melted on contact as the ground is so warm and the temp is just below zero. Big warmup on the weekend so snow will likely be completely gone by Saturday.

I had to come into downtown Ottawa for something work-related today and there is quite a difference in the amount of snow in the CBD and in my part of Gatineau.

Maybe 10 cm at my place in Gatineau, with just a trace in Ottawa CBD at 9 am. It's now picked up though so there is more than a trace downtown.

Oh well! This snow is right on cue. Exactly 1 year anniversary of the ice storm last year. Once we get the April wintry event of the system it's full on spring.

1C and snowing today. Close to 20 cm from the whole event. Heavy and wet snow but it started melted this afternoon.

Low of -1C (wind chill of -10) this morning. It could potentially be our last freeze until October/November.

The warmspot was Coronach, SK at 20.3C.

Warmest low was Sandheads and Osoyoos, BC at 6.6C.

From this morning (by this afternoon it was less as the melt had started).

We hit a high of 3C and rainy conditions most of the day. When I went for my walk at 5 pm, the temperature began to drop, to the point where we had what was basically snow, but wasn't going to stick because the ground is wet and warm.
I went over to a greenspace to see how it's changed since my last visit ayear ago. The new Ontario Line (subway) is going through part of this area, and it's a very different looking greenspace now, as in mostly logged.

Some flowers are already blooming, though I suppose these are more or less typical for this time of year, if not a few days early.

I have no idea what these are called, but they were growing in an old planter abutting the Hydro station by my home

Some sun and blue skies earlier in the day but by the time I got out mid-afternoon there was a light overcast.
Dry, brisk, breezy and noticeably cooler today.

Thursday's high at Vancouver Harbour was 11 C, the low was 5 C.

WoW! Lucky you... how wonderful. Montreal is one of the most beautiful cities in North America and with snow and ice it is even more beautiful. Here in Sicily it is terrible.... the winter was very hot, with little rain, very little snow on the mountains and this horrible spring resembles summer :inferno::alzata di spalle:
