OK, so I did a check. Original song was done in France in the 70s when the series was first aired. Sung by a French-Israeli guy named Noam over there. Redone with the exact same lyrics and music by Nathalie Simard over here.
This is actually quite a rare occurrence - that a TV show's theme song is redone for Quebec audiences only.
Note that Goldorak was not a French cartoon. It was part of the first series of Japanese mangas that really caught on like wildfire in francophone Europe. By ricochet they also caught on big time in Quebec.
Some of them were sci-fi themed like Goldorak, Albator, etc., or adventure-themed like Les Mystérieuses Cités d'Or. They are fairly unknown in Anglo North America, with the possible exception Battle of the Planets, also known as G-Force.
There were also Japanese mangas aimed at the younger demographic, or the girly-girl demographic: stuff like Mini-Fée, Le Petit Castor, Démétan la petite grenouille, Candy, etc.
20-30 years later you can still buy DVDs of all of these at Costco and other retailers in Quebec.
All without exception retained the theme songs from France and dubbing from France in what was broadcast in Quebec.
Not Japanese of course but one exception was The Flintstones, dubbed into Quebec French and with an original Québécois version of the theme song from the outset:
