This is actually one of my most freqeunted areas because Chapters (only bookstore in town really) and one of the public library locations is in the mall that stretches on the right of the picture.

Toronto used to have a barnlike Hotel but I think they demolished it.

And again.

Slightly further apart, but Chapters can be seen on the far left while Montana's is on the far right.

I didn’t even know Canada really had Applebee’s. I went to an Applebee’s in America once and vowed never to eat at Applebee’s again.

Oh I see. I believe we have an Applebee’s in Waterloo but that’s it. I call them Crapplebee’s.

^The folks here dream of having a Crackerbarrel. Or a Cheesecake Factory. Many are still eagerly awaiting the opening of Regina's first Olive Garden later this year. Although that isn't guaranteed. Many are going to be dejected and despondent if it doesn't come to fruition.

Matches the revolting metal trees in downtown London. you should see how soul-sucking these things look on a cobalt-grey winter day in London.

These shots are actually flattering: many of the metal trees have faded to some fugly pastel with flecks of rust. And some nasty yellowish-ooze near the bottoms due to the thousands of dogs that use them as toilets.

It's called Marine Venus. It was in Expo 67 then was donated to Dalhousie in 1969. I think it's supposed to look like genitals.

There are very, very few Cracker Barrel restaurants in central-eastern Canada. Maybe none in fact.

Applebees I thought was in Calgary and a few places in S Ontario, but they're not that common either. Surprised they are in Regina.

This woman had no taste. Her husband (Timothy Best) is a complete knuckleheaded disaster. He owns one of those loansharking "Cash Money" shops.

That is exactly what I always thought! It also reminded me of a piece of popcorn.

I can't say if I liked it or not, but it was one of the more iconic corporate symbols of my youth.

Does no one know calligraphy? The serif at the top is a little big, but the B is there. You just have to squint and maybe have a second pint.
