We can hope that Dechert takes more space than their revised (scaled down) Cira Centre lease planned to start in 2022.

Doubtful, law firms have allowed remote work for a while and it wouldn't surprise me to see a lot of firms outside of NYC use the pandemic as an excuse to move from dedicated offices for associates to shared/reserved offices to reduce their real estate expenses. That plus Dechert hasn't really been growing much the last few years anyway (still doing solidly AFAIK but they got way too ambitious about 7-8 years ago and things didn't really work out for them).

Some very encouraging news on the treatment for Alzheimers by a Philly Bio Tech , Annovis , if it pans out maybe their new HQ could be at 3001 .

I certainly hope so, if we can get a tenant or 2 for this tower, its addition to the skyline and the area as a whole would be massive

They wouldn't be an anchor tenant but could take up some space when it gets built (as a result of another anchor tenant) since they are basically a public company with no revenue at this time and a tiny workforce.

Let's not get too happy to quickly says our wonderful state government!

Bill would block companies from getting second round of Keystone Opportunity Zone tax breaks

Quote:
A bill in the Pennsylvania House of Representatives would prohibit companies from collecting a second round of lucrative Keystone Opportunity Zone tax breaks if they move from an expired zone to a new one.

If it becomes law, the bill would limit the impact of a Commonwealth Court decision last summer that law firm Dechert LLP could collect a second round of tax breaks if it moved from the Cira Centre into a new building that Brandywine Realty Trust wants to build in the Schuylkill Yards development near 30th Street Station.

The Pennsylvania Supreme Court on Wednesday upheld that lower-court decision, which found that a “prohibition on ‘zone-hopping’ is simply not contained in the statute,” and suggested that the decision against the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development “may generate a legislative response.”

Now it has.

Any news on this building? I saw that 3025 JFK has been started so I wasn't sure if this was too.

Fantastic new looks at the tower. I don't notice any value engineering, but the box at the top containing the air units will now feature a red frame. Which I like!

I noticed this in real life the other day when driving by, and also see it in this video: did they raise the "SCHUYLKILL YARDS" letters higher above the roof of the old Bulletin building than where they were initially installed? If so, good move.

I don't think there's a color change at all. In the shot I posted the sunlight is hitting the east and south faces, giving it this brighter look

I’ve always thought it was odd placement. You can see the sign perfectly from 30th st station, but any other angle, especially closer up, half or more of the letters are blocked because they’re so far back on building. Would be nice if they’re moved up a bit.

Yeah this color looks no different from the past renderings I’ve seen

Pretty sure that's what they did. You can kind of see it in the rendering TK posted above, and even better in the video he linked. It looks like they've installed the sign on posts that lift it up above the roof. And as I said, I noticed that it was entirely visible when I drove by the other day, which it hadn't been previously. I guess that we on this forum weren't the only ones who noticed how silly the previous placement was.

There's very slight changes on the office floors too. The top horizontal row of metal on the first block section and the bottom horizontal row of metal on the top block is thicker, showing off a bit more of the red exterior. That and the additional red cladding around the roofing equipment are a wonderful revision to me, I'm glad they want to show off more of the red. It's my favorite color!
