Any updates? I'll be visiting Miami in a couple weeks and am curious on how various projects are shaping up. In a city that has a booming skyline with cranes all over the place, there's been basically nothing posted here for months!

The Federal Aviation Administration has granted approval for another 1,049-foot supertall tower to be built in Brickell.
The tower is proposed at 1428 Brickell Avenue.

The FAA said the new tower can be built at 1,040 feet above ground, or 1,049 feet above sea level. That is the maximum permitted in the area by aviation authorities.
Approval was granted on January 14, after less than six months of review. The application was originally filed on July 30.
The project is being planned by Ytech.

According to Ytech’s website, a luxury residential project with hotel-like services is planned.

Developers Propose 1,125 Apartments Near Brightline’s New Aventura Station


Modera Aventura

Two developers have submitted plans for separate projects near Brightline’s new Aventura station, totaling 1,125 apartments.



Modera Aventura

The first project is called Modera Aventura, and was submitted to Miami-Dade by Mill Creek Residential on April 5.

Modera Aventura is proposed to have 2 15-story buildings that include:

840 apartments (using a 25% workforce bonus)
14,000 square feet of ground floor retail
1,201 parking spaces
Corwil is the architect.

The Modera Aventura site is 2681 NE 191st Street.

WDH OJUS

The second project is currently known as WDH Ojus, and was submitted to Miami-Dade by Ram Realty Services and Pinnacle Communities on April 1

WDH Ojus is proposed to have 15-story, 12-story, and 4-story buildings that include:

285 multifamily residential units for rent (using a 24% workforce housing density bonus)
2,850 square feet of retail
438 parking spaces in an 4 to 8-story garage
The project site is 19640 W Harriet Tubman Highway – 300 feet from the Brightline station.

Roger Fry is the architect for WDH Ojus.

20-Story Emblem Tower Proposed Near I-95 In North Miami, With Carlos Ott Design

A developer has submitted plans to the city of North Miami to build a 20-story apartment building called Emblem Tower.

Emblem Tower is proposed to include:

139 luxury multifamily rental units
9,989 square feet of ground floor commercial/office space
239 parking spaces in a 4-story garage
Carlos Ott is the conceptual consultant, with Frankel Benayoun the architect.

Blue Road and GCI are listed as the owners/developers.

The North Miami Planning Commission is scheduled to review the proposal on April 5.
