hello, prizren

prizren is kosovo's second city, and also a place where i climbed up a goddamn mountain in 40 degree heat. luckily, the local "peja" beer is sort of watery. enjoy.

That city is gorgeous. I love the haphazard look of Ottoman-era architecture. It's so warm and friendly and inviting. Those districts always look like they're giving their people a big hug.

not unlike a particular portland forumer.

i'll play the game again. nagano slipped on the night stairs and on into what-people-think-el-paso-looks-like uterous. w/ kebabs, just like forklifts bringing in cigarretes by the leaugue or the tonne or whatever it is, and fashion shirts.

i don't officially endorse that.

What a bizarre/cool place to end up. Just temporary, I assume?

Some of those alleys look downright Shanghainesey.

chris,

it's not really that overt, but yeah, all cars better than about a bmw 328i can be assumed to contain handguns.

it's sort of the hochelaga-maisonneuve thing though: organized crime keeps street crime in line.

which is to say, so far so good. how's the typhoon?

Interesting to see the place because I had a friend from there that moved to Sweden.
Looks a bit rough, but the surroudnings look great.
