If football clubs play soccer, to soccer clubs play football?

And what the hell is a 'supper club' anyways?

CIBC has rebranded:

Yes, it looks like Renault's logo. Another early 2000s swoosh bites the dust.

Well, I don't hate it. Needs some more colour though, it's harder to differentiate with Scotiabank now

Of course, I know which I'd prefer...

Just reminds me of a knock-off of Chase in the States.

Renault is gonna sue! Big improvement tho, the swoosh sucked, was the worst branding of the big five by far.

Had to look at a couple of tax bills and saw these logos.

Don't know what Hawkesbury was going for here. Laughably cartoonish "H".

https://www.hawkesbury.ca/en

PEC's logo is also cartoonish, but gives a very wholesome vibe. Could use some sharpening up though so it doesnt' look like it came from Office 95 clipart. But at the same time, I like how they're not trying to be pretentious. I like how it portrays farming, wine making, the water and the beach. It is afterall home to Sandbanks PP. This a rebrand from 2014 by the way.

The H in Hawkesbury looks to remind me the town is on the 2 lane just past the 4 lane freeway.

That Hawkesbury one looks like a junior hockey team logo.

Drove past this a few days ago... it made me wonder if there are "a number of things to do":

It does indeed look like a road now that you mention it.

Should ask Avril Lavigne. She would know.

I'm just glad they didn't go with a green and blue logo like so many other waterfront cities.

A logo like this is a lazy one. To me, it speaks of a community where there is no real attraction worth visiting, but the chamber of commerce still wants passers-by to drop in anyway because of the "many" offerings still available (like a gas station, a general store, or a park with a cenotaph in the middle of it).

There are a number of things to do in Okotoks - Oh yeah, name one.........

I hope no one had the nerve to submit a bill for coming up with "GREATER FOR MANY REASONS"

Napanee became part of Greater Napanee due to the amalgamation policy of the conservative government of the late 1990s and early 2000s. I can't imagine citizens were impressed, so maybe someone had the bright idea to make some chicken sh!t into chicken salad by playing on the wonderful new name. Or maybe it was a little F.U. to Premier Mike Harris: "We're greater for many reasons, not because YOU lumped all of us county folk together" (it's basically what used to be Lennox County, which was also made into a bigger entity through a merger with its neighbour during the same amalgamations)

The original town of Napanee is a typical Ontario small town. It has its charms and quirks, it's surrounded by beautiful countryside, it's close to other nice little communities, and provincial parks. The Bay of Quinte, Lake Ontario, beaches, and Prince Edward County wine country are nearby... Kingston is only about 40km distant. But those are just a few reasons for being greater

The Hawkesbury logo is laughable with the stilts.

Any place that adds "Greater" to its name wasn't probably all that great to begin with. The greater napanee logo is painfully generic.

Adding “Greater” to a city name sounds wrong imo, unless the place is a large metropolitan area. It is cringy when the place is a small town (Greater Napanee) or a mid-sized city (Greater Sudbury).

Greater Sudbury is the official government name for the CMA, too.

"Greater" is one of the bones that they sometimes throw at smaller municipalities that get merged with bigger ones, as a "look! you guys are recognized too!"
