I would vote for Jersey Mike's Subs which I found better than Firehouse Subs and is already in Canada.

Happened to be near Firehouse yesterday and got my BOGO subs as part of their grand opening and enjoyed them. And I saw they're slowly working on the Arby's site.

Jersey mikes I found good, but a little pricey.

I always liked the fact that they had 8" subs.....6" is not enough and 12" is too much.

no innuendo intended.

Right?!

I just wish there were more locations. NAFTA, by allowing American chains to flood the Canadian market, was a tragedy for them and many other Canadian businesses who can't compete with corporate America........in Canada.

^Was always my favourite. There used to be one, many years ago, on the NW corner of Portage and Main.

I live in close proximity and miss having a nice coffee shop nearby, so it would be nice to have something else in that spot.
Update on this, the mural has made some decent progress and it looks like it’s a storefront for a Mexican bakery. There’s nothing online about the location but it’s the same name as this Instagram account I found. https://www.instagram.com/lapanaderiawpg

It sounds like the built-out restaurant 1212 Nairn has been leased.

Any one have insider information?

Hey folks, what are your recommendations for breakfast dinners? Looking for something homecooked and affordable.

Came in to Winnipeg for the first time since the pandemic. First stop, Chicken Delight. 3 piece meal with gravy and fries. Can't be beat for $15.

Now it's Salisbury House $9 special. 2 pancakes, hash browns, 2 scrambled eggs, toast and bacon. You people in Manitoba have no idea how good you have it.

Is this $9 breakfast special at Salisbury House still offered? I have never seen it on the menu.
