Looks like York has started construction in the parking lot at Wonderland and Oxford plaza. Immediately west of McDonalds. Not sure if this is another fast food place or retail.

Yeah, I saw the fencing last week and my first thought was "A little early to be setting up a garden centre" lol. Maybe Burger King wants back on that corner. A new Timmy's in that area would be good too, the other one across from Costco is a shitshow to go in and out of. York sure has a lot going on right now though

Other than Starbucks, those others are just placeholder names for the drawings showing the types of businesses they envision going in. They put Starbucks in because they would have a deal with Starbucks, the other units are probably not spoken for at this point.

37 tower project ringing Mississauga's Square One for 35,000 people being proposed. This is an example of density.

Good or Bad strategy?

Cadillac Fairview has a similar more London scale plan for Masonville..

All the big pension funds are looking to capitalize on the housing shortage by intensifying their mall sites. Square One isn’t the only mall Oxford is looking at doing this to, they are also doing it for Yorkdale, Scarborough Town Centre, Hillcrest, and Upper Canada. Square one is simply the farthest along and the first to start construction.

There was work going on at the Colborne Centre building on the northeast corner of Colborne and York where there was a mobile crane. Possibly moving HVAC equipment onto the roof of the office section, I was going by and only glanced over.

Lots of activity east of the new YMCA (Southdale/bostwick) area. Heavy equipment on site and they are excavating looks like they are already 10-15 feet deep.
I cannot recall exactly what was proposed on that portion of land.

Guess I'll reply here too. Volvo, not VW, moving from up the road. And Porsche is moving from Oxford and Wonderland.

I have no idea. I wouldn't be shocked but not for a few years I wouldn't imagine. Tesla did just put a whole whack of charging stations in down at the Superstore Mall in front of the Drive Test office though if you want to see their logo in town lol.

Tesla doesn't do the traditional dealership model. They use online and "showrooms". Even the few of those that exist might disappear.
