It sure does look girthy in that last shot at the end. Did they reduce the height?

Huh...Hopefully, that was simply an optical illusion.

Mr. Blume, are you still around?

So only white people can sell a building I guess. I see how it is.
not making a point to argue just poking fun at it.

Definitely worth making a point, TBH. In this day and age, NOT showing diversity in your marketing pieces isn't just iffy politics, it's terrible business. The market itself is not only more diverse than ever, it also values diversity more than ever. Anyhoo, not to get too soapboxy, but it's important to point it out, too.

The crown on this thing is much more accentuated than I thought it would be. if it's lit like it seems, it'll be a pretty amazing beacon at night.

LOL That video...everyone was not just white, but super white, young, attractive, not even slightly obese, etc. You would think blonde women were the majority of women. And the building did look a bit chubby in that last shot-maybe the thin white people will reject it if it is not sleek and trim like them lol.

*Congrats Austin on the Apple thing...I bet Raleigh-Durham is pissed!

I can be friends with Austin again now that you are not going to steal our soccer team. A win for us both...except you get stuck with Precourt! hahaha.

I suppose it should have included a trigger warning. On the other hand, at last check, without exception, alarm company commercials always have white people breaking into homes.

In comparison to the Independent promotional where it really was a mix of people and the building itself; this one highlights the type of people that would live in this building and focus on the structure seems to be secondary. That's why I noticed the race. It's interesting to see how these new kings of our skylines market themselves.

Man, they're not even using the right angle in this scene:

This is from the south-east, but that's the due west side of the building, where the CVC slices the side into an angle.

The interiors look awesome, and the garage-top deck is incredible and something that is going to be really unique here. But man, the sloppiness of the video relative to the price tag of this building does not inspire a lot of hope in it actually being built.

Here's that last fat shot:

This looks like it's shed about 100 feet from that video.

My info is *old*, but this building nearly (or did) go through some really drastic redesigns. This seems to confirm the plans are not as drastic of changes as were being discussed at one point, but it still seems to have shed some height.

If they actually shaved height on this project wouldn't they be required to pull the site plan and resubmit it? If so, we would know something was up when they did.

Regarding that last shot...I think it's just a bad, squatty rendering. I'm still counting ~60 or so stories on that one.

Hopefully that is the case and it's a bad render. I heard *massive* changes were on the table for this one in late Summer.

I don't like including the length of a spire to the official height of a building, but judging from the size of the spire in the picture, this could easily make this a thousand footer. Heck, the Fairmont is boosting its total height with one.
