They have poured some of the L2 perimeter walls on the SE corner now. Made a little progress on the L1 floor forming but still no steel rebar. Very slow progress on this. Suspect they need the concrete crew from up on Hyde Park to move here soon in order to make any progress. They should be topping out the mech penthouse on Hyde Park in the next few weeks.

Finally started steel rebar for L1 level slab on south end. Still no signs of where the ramps will be situated under the underground levels. Work is now started on digging out the foundation walls of the Dufferin Ave law office. They also backfilled the east side of law office to allow equipment to access it.

Actually the mobile crane is installing the steel bracing system for the north and west walls of the old law office on Dufferin. This bracing system will hold those walls in place while the rest of the house is demolished and the pit is excavated out. Same method was used on the old facade of the Kingsmill building along Dundas St. for the new Fanshawe college building. Activity on the north side of pit should really pickup steam with the HCM foundation company returning to drill the NW side pilings and start removing the soil and house basement. Once that is done we should probably see a 2nd tower crane installed in a strategic location to avoid the current crane and Tricar's condo tower across the street.

Yeah they poured the L1 slab in the SW corner only. Today they where setting up some of the steel rebar posts in that corner. Still have not installed any of the steel rebar for the L1 slab in SE corner as of yet.

Some of the L1 posts and walls have now been poured in the SW corner. No activity on the old law office to start tying the north and west walls to the new steel bracing system. Could be waiting on sub contractor and engineering team to complete the plans.

They have complete the L1 slab pour now in SE corner. Have started lining the piling wall in advance of steel rebar and forming for perimeter L1 walls. Posts and elevator shaft wall forming continues for L1 under south side tower. No apparent progress on the old law office bracing and demolition.

Small team is now working on bracing the old law office to the steel bracing along north facade. This is likely going to be slow tedious work.

This whole project is taking forever - I know there are water table issues, etc but when are we going to see this rise?

CF is Old Oaks general contractor and they have been stretched thin by two other projects for Old Oaks. 1. being the 16s story tower up in Hyde Park and 2. the 5s Mosiak buildings on Sugarcreek. The good news is most of the concrete and steel is now completed up in Hyde Park and those crews should be moving to Centro now. The Mosaik building is now forming the 4th floor walls and could be pouring some of the 5th floor slab by end of next week. Most of the concrete and steel rebar will be completed in June. Again those crews should be moving to Centro then to supplement the workforce there. This summer should see alot of activity around bracing the old law office house and bringing back HCM foundations to complete the caisson pilings and drilling on the NW corner of pit behind the house. Then digging out the north end of the pit so the foundation and footings can start for the 29s north tower. Would expect to see a second tower crane installed for that. The only question is will CF send crews to another project for another developer or focus all their resources on Centro for the next 2 years.

Poured some more of the L1 slab on east side. Forms for L1 slab on west side up but no steel yet. Steel rebar for posts on SE corner now going in. Looks like they will start steel rebar for south L1 perimeter wall next week. Should see alot of forming and pouring in the next few weeks for L1 level walls and posts.

Have started putting up ground level slab forming in the SW corner where they have the L1 perimeter walls poured. Still have alot of L1 perimeter walls to form and pour on the east side and west side. They have started the process of mounting the law office north facade to the metal bracing supports. Steel beams being inserted thru the window openings to build the support frame.

The old law office has now had the south side demolished. Should finish up this week and hopefully HCM is back soon to finish drilling the caisson pilings and installing the undercut support for the walls so the north end of pit can be fully excavated. Hopefully they have the footings for the north 29 story tower poured before the snow fly's.

Nothing left now of old law office but a portion of the west wall and the north side facade. Roof and rest of building is now gone. Should see HCM foundations back soon to drill new caisson pilings in the space formerly occupied by the old house. Forming for ground floor slab progressing slowly at south end of pit.

Forming the L1 posts on the east side of the south tower base now. Not much progress on the ground floor slab forming in the SW corner.

Just started on steel rebar for ground floor slab in the SW corner. Most of the L1 posts are now poured in the remaining part of the south end of pit. Should see alot of ground floor forming over the next few weeks.

Still installing some heavy steel rebar in the SW corner for the ground floor slab. This is going to be the south entrance to the parking levels and may also have a loading dock for trucks. Also today a drilling machine has arrived to start the shoring work for the NW corner where the former law office stood. Contractor doing the north and west wall supports is still working on them.
