I like to think I just have good taste
I've only been to San Francisco once (best vacation I ever took, can't wait to get back) but I didn't spend much time downtown, except on my way to Chinatown and he hills. I am a big fan of early international style buildings, especially with blue or green glass like Lever House or Pepsico on Park Ave. And to the contrary- I think this style works best for smaller buildings, because the detailing, though fine, is sparse, and on a larger building tends to get repetitive and overlooked. I like my modernist jewel boxes.
