As a regular peruser and occasional contributor to this wonderful page, I've noticed some interest in the now long-gone Garden of Allah Hotel which stood at 8152 Sunset Blvd (or 8150 or 8080 depending on who you're listening to) from 1927 to 1959.
When the hotel was razed to make way for an eyesore of a mini mall, a scale model was built and put on display in the (then) Lytton Savings bank that still stands there today (albeit under a different name.)
I've been trying to track down that model, ever optimistic that it still existed and recently I found that it did and the guy who has it kindly let me see it.
