26th floor glass being placed yesterday atop of Arthur apartments, and today spa and pool lifted from Idaho Street to 25th amenity level. Spa will be placed on 26th level.

The Boise Post restaurant and bar on 15th floor

Not my favorite design, but I appreciate the density the project will bring.

The rendering looks like three boxes of different sizes thrown together. There is a bump out of glass wall from the 5th level to the 15th under the balcony that I hope breaks up the design. The parking screen in the night rendering shows more of a open mesh design. The Element Hotel looks like a last minute add on even though the rooms continue over to the tower on the lower floors. The 15th floor should be a happening place with spectacular views.
5th,6th and 7th floors are the Element rooms, and 8th to the 14th are AC rooms

Compass released their April population numbers. Boise metro now has 822k. We're quickly approaching that 1 million mark.

Nice to see Boise is growing. Meridian is just taking off like a rocket.

822k is just Ada and Canyon counties
if u include the rest of the counties in the metro it's more like 862k
Local Planners always said Boise Metro will be 1 million by 2040..
I'm willing to bet it surpasses it by 2030

The Hotel Renegade opens in May, and room reservations start July 1, 2024 with rooms from $279 to $2,999.

On the first floor is Baraboo Super Club, and on the eight floor is the Highlander Bar with outdoor seating for city views plus large event room.

Arthur tower crane should be down April 24 or before the end of the month. Also the 24th floor has taller ceilings, and larger apartments.

Removing regulatory barriers to building small homes drives new construction, but it can take years to see the full impact. For example, after Seattle adopted a new zoning code removing regulatory barriers to accessory dwelling units, ADU production doubled in year two, tripled in year three, and quadrupled the original baseline in years four and five. Yet Seattle’s success with ADU reform since 2019 may be outpaced by another city in Cascadia that has just unleashed a surge of permits for relatively inexpensive infill housing.

For comparison’s sake, Boise’s 95 ADU permit applications since December put it on track to exceed Seattle’s ADU production in 2019, even though Boise has barely a third of Seattle’s population.

I don't know if any of you have seen this website, but it is a live construction cam of The Arthur that takes pictures every ten minutes, and you can see that the crane has almost finished deconstruction now.

ADU's are very popular in the Northend. Over half the homes that share my alley have them.
