It's a phone vs laptop issue. Tumblr isn't the best system especially if I have to transfer photos to my laptop to post. They come out higher quality that way but it's much easier to just hit 'post to tumblr' on my phone for most photos. I try to make sure any "construction is complete" type photos are high quality but for photos like the one above which is a quick night shot I'll just do it from my phone.
It doesn't help I'm too poor to replace my ancient laptop and the blog doesn't make any money. I love this forum but I can't justify spending money to make posting higher quality photos easier.
This forum has definitely been the longest lasting hobby I've ever had. 12 years and 8'000+ posts. I tend to avoid debates and conversations so I think a good half of those posts are construction update photos and non-photo project updates.
On this thread's topic though the crane is now erected. It's a white crane but I haven't been by in the daytime to see which company owns it.
