The Rotterdam picture thread

Time to give Rotterdam its own picture thread! Here are some I took on 29 december 2006.

18. Wilhelminapier. 5 buildings from 135 to 165 m high will be constructed here coming 7 years.

Some historical pics.
Rotterdam Before the Bomb in 1940



and After the city(cleaned up) was totally bombed and mostly burned down.



Thats why the city is totally new and modern.
Some old buildings where not destroyed like the Cityhall, White House(high white officebuilding on photo) and Office and some other streets.

A few days ago I went with of couple of colleges to Rotterdam.
The weather was bad so we decided to visit some pubs and took some pictures also

Many of Rotterdam's buildings are wonderful. Atlanta and other North American cities should "borrow" some of these designs.
