Hanover 31 story at 1230 W Peachtree

Cleared the land a few weeks ago and looks like they are starting construction. Looks like a nice addition and will leave 2 blocks for future developments to the north before the post office 61 story skyscraper.

The office component of this project has been canceled. It is now a 31-story, 421-unit multifamily project.

I think you are confusing two different projects here.

I was really excited about this project before they "altered" it - by almost half.
Now I just get depressed when I look at it because I think of what could have been.
I just try to ignore it now.

It's the same design and 31 floors vs. 40. That's a pretty minor change.

I must be missing something - that's approximately 125 ft. difference. Just look at the two renderings together - there's a hugh difference in visual impact.

Even if height was all that mattered, mid-300s vs. mid-400s doesn't seem like a big difference to me. That's like Spire vs. Viewpoint, basically.

Office floors are higher than residential
So it’s more like 135ft, kinda a big change IMO

Sure, 31 stories is definitely something to be thankful for,
but I'm sure we can all agree that we were a little disappointed to see it reduced in height.

I wonder if they'll be sorry that they didn't keep the office component, or happy that they avoided a high vacancy rate - time will tell.

Construction moving along. Core and some columns rising out of the site.

Actually the original design had a height of 515 feet now that the office portion has been taken away the building is most likely in the mid 300s so definitely a big difference

While still OK it was to be a Skyscraper (17 in ATL + 1 SuperTall) and is now just a HighRise.

This is along the future 15th street between West Peachtree and Spring, correct? Would it be a bad assumption to think that once this project wraps up, the 15th street extension will be soon to follow?

The 15th street extension isn't related to that project. It's supposed to start construction this year.
