The mismatched curtains and window dressings indicate that the building is filling up quickly.

That is good, hopefully the Margaretta will start soon. (and the window blinds will become more uniform in the Mary Anne)

They would distract the eye from the puke green accents, the porthole windows and the chipboard balcony panels.

That is good news. Hopefully the Margaretta will be built quicker than the Mary Ann and have a better exterior.

On the other hand, with govt., commercial or instutional projects, architects get involved directly with the specification of the exterior and there is much more control off and on-site. there is also an argument that this adds to the cost as Unions get more involved.
This one is especially strange because Banc designed the interiors, but Fares designed the exterior. I'm not sure who actually managed construction.

We were in the library yesterday, and I looked across the street at this to see, and it looked to me like most of the units were occupied on the Queen St side (although the top floor might or might not be). Regardless, it seemed to be fairly well occupied.

The Spring Garden Road area is getting densely built up. Soon there won't be significant surface parking aside from what's behind the library.

That glass must have been on a slow boat from China.

Construction has started on the Margaretta. The pedestrian walkways were installed yesterday. I also noticed that one of my favourite restaurants, Sushi Nami Royale, is going into the Queen Street side of the Mary-Anne.

I've heard it's going to become more izakaya-style after the move.

Excavation is progressing well with a lot of the easy top layer gone. I notice blasting mats have been delivered to the site so some serious digging should soon begin.

Also this property is getting what looks like a very nice makeover across the street.
