558 Queenston Rd - new Kelsey's

According to the monthly report from councillor Collins, there's a new Kelsey's going to be built at 558 Queenston Rd, once demolition of the current building occurs, which at one time included the old Active Green and Ross just west of the Zellers store.

Just drove by the closed Kelsey's on Centennial Parkway just south of Barton, and the roof is stripped and being redone. No idea what's going there if anything.

Lots of money being invested along the Queenston Rd - Nash area the last few years:
  1. New Queenston Mall - including new McDonald's
  2. Boston Pizza built on old McDonald's site.
  3. Refurbished Eastgate Square, with another major reno coming
  4. Brand new Swiss Chalet replacing old one
  5. Tony Roma's replacing Red Lobster
  6. Starsky's fine foods going in on old Gemini Ford lot
  7. New Canadian Tire gas bar
  8. New Kelsey's being built beside Zellers

Have I missed anything?

Well, the Zellers will be converted to a Target shortly.

I was surprised to see Kelsey's close up at Centennial and Barton. Glad they are just relocating and not abandoning that neck of the woods, despite the fact that I can't bear eating there myself. Sodium in boiling pouches.
