I am sure it will be watered down.

Design is nice and all, but honestly imo height density and also height trump that for this area in particular. The North Ave area NEEDS this for balancing.

Also it looks like they're well underway with columns at 14th and Spring. Has anyone been close enough to I see if they've installed a tower crane base?

Oh wow yeah that looks weird.

That entire portion of the site is weird to me. There was no below ground foundational work just the columns and the core in the middle. This is where the residential tower will be built right?

Construction material and equipment from the Margaritaville tower site are being taken by protesters to build a barricade against the police.

I'm sure you'll find many people upset. It seemed that people really loved this project when it was first proposed.

Is this the crane you all are referencing? Looks like the existing residential tower crane might be limited on its reach range because of the existing buildings so they are adding a 4th one for coverage?

This portion of the site doesn't seem weird. Looks like there will be a service level that connects all the buildings that's mostly below grade - which is what you're seeing constructed right now. Most of the residential parking is above grade otherwise. The new Arts Center Way extension will run on top of what looks to be the service/parking level below grade closer to the north side of the site.

The North Avenue proposal looks a bit like the Vista Tower in Chicago. Great design, and a big improvement to the current look of that side of the North Avenue station. Wonder if the enhancements to the station will also involve the AT&T side.

Also, was walking the dog yesterday and saw crews completing site surveys on the parking lot behind the Civic Center on Pine Street.

A big concrete pour for the basement of the Midtown Union Office Tower today. Looks like the core may be above ground within the next couple weeks.

Cool

Does anyone know what is being built just below 17th st along the connector in midtown? There is a corner lot right there below Atlantic station and some kind of building is under construction. Looks Mabe to be some sort of office Mabe?

Projects proposals that I Would Love to see come to life and break ground soon are the Portman 36 story residential tower on spring & 10th. Second is the 901 W Peachtree st Tower on the lot between 7th & 8th. Third is the Margaritaville hotel tower which actually broke ground. Fourth project is the 800 to 1,000 room Hotel Tower next to the Gwcc, it looks really Nice & Tall& Glassy. Fifth proposed project is the 1138 Peachtree st 46 story Condo tower, and the final is the Hanover 1230 W Peachtree St 40 story tower. Really nice. And I’m sure I’m dreaming But it be nice if Atlanta could build a Omni Hotel tower in the midtown skyline or Buckhead that has the same setup like that one in Dt Dallas skyline. Very good looking tower with All the LED lighting screens on the building. It’s like digital billboard with so much different colored lights and designs. Love that set up. Imagine seeing something like that along the 75/85 connector, below 17th st and 14th . Very cool looking hotel tower in Dt Dallas. IMO
