At least they upped the student tower a few floors. That should put it around the 230'ish mark. I'll take it.

With each lot that fills it makes future height more likely.

Remember when we could hardly get a building to crack 20? look how far we've come.

I am not sure if this has been discussed before, but are both towers being built at the same time? I assume they are - but haven't heard one way or another.

Yes, it is a 1-phase project and both will be built at the same time.

As Diablo stated, Medistar updated their website description to 33 floors and 22 floors. But it looks like the video is still not updated as I only count 32 floors and 20 floors on the towers.

Also, it would just really just be nice to have an exact height figure in ft., so I can update a few sites. Not sure why this is so hard to get.

Thank you! How awesome is that. Two towers going up on one block at the same time. How times have changed.

I think Valley Metro couldn't handle or would want another 2 years of interruption to their service if it were a 2-phase project.

Working w/ Christine Mackay to get height info. She said she was reaching out to Planning Department and will share details once received.

You were pretty spot on Crested...with your guesses for height for both towers.

Official heights from the City:

West Tower
  • 22 Stories
  • 229'-8" Height

East Tower
  • 32 Stories
  • 372'-11" Height

Those are pretty good numbers! A little shorter on the main tower, but a little taller on the second tower. Going to look great when it's completed.

On a side note, one of you guys are fast to the draw on Wikipedia. I went to update the heights and they're already updated

never gonna say a 372' tower in DT Phoenix is disappointing...but really, really, really wanted another 400' footer in our skyline. just kinda dont get why we can't ever get another 30' ever ??? truly head-scratching...but still happy to have it!

The old structures on the site have been demolished over the past few weeks. There's been steady work going on behind the fence, even if nothing has risen above it yet. I suspect the next step will be excavation for the basement and underground parking.

Should the title of this thread be updated from " Phoenix | Central Station | 360 FT (est.) | 32 Floors" to "Phoenix | Central Station | 372 FT (est.) | 32 Floors" ?

FWIW, as a basis of comparison, the roof height is the height the city and most other places use. Penthouses, etc don't typically count.
