$17 Million Penthouse Views of L.A.! (Century City, Downtown LA, Pacific Ocean)
Century City isn't my favorite place in LA because it's so office-parky (at least until the new Westfield Century City is completely redone and the subway station opens up in like 20 years). However, the view from The Century are pretty killer. Check out these AMAZING views I snapped of sprawling Los Angeles from this $17 million penthouse (priced at over $9,000 a square foot!).
Wouldn't you like to be looking at this view from YOUR living room??
...or soaking in your bathtub?
The curved building is the Century Plaza Hotel
The building with the hole is the fancy 2000 Ave of the Stars (home to CAA) and of course the most beautiful twin towers designed by Minoru Yamasaki, which I sometimes wish were built in DTLA instead of Century City
The Westfield Century City down below is going through an astounding $800 million makeover
A closer look at the new $800 million makeover in the making
Constellation Place is a 35-story Class A office high-rise
Close up shot of the Wilshire Corridor (lined with expensive condos and apartments) by Westwood/UCLA
Whoa, check out this crazy view of Beverly Hills, West Hollywood, all the way out to Hollywood and the sign
A little closer view
Nice view of the 35-story Fox Plaza (featured in Die Hard)
Views of Santa Monica and the beautiful Pacific Ocean
I had to look up where Century City is. I'm not familiar with Los Angeles. LA has so many skylines and highrise clusters to view from one place or another!
I had no idea about the total renovation at the mall! I was there a few years ago, seemed fine to me, filled with high end stores. Looks like the tore the whole thing down! (minus Bloomy's)
Nice shots man! I love clear days like that. Snow on the mountains, clear skies, 70 degree weather, multiple skylines and the pacific! Cant ask for more than that
I cry. I will never afford such mansion in this location and such amazing daily-life view.
I believe the owner is really living a meaningful life and calls it real life, while others, just exist and breathe on Earth that's all, hardly a life they have.

Thanks guys! It's super exciting to see DTLA's skyline expanding in the last photo. It'll be amazing when you see the towers rise in South Park (the southern section of DTLA), which will add even more bulk to the skyline.
That kind of real estate products is really most useful. Lots of future developments should follow that template.

Bah, why not sparing your tears for something even more meaningful?
If it wasn't for nasty NIMBYism, I guess you'd see many more apartments with that kind of views yet. So many more that they probably wouldn't be sold for that laughable price. But then affluence and density that comes along without fail might end up obstructing views. It's always that choice to be made. If you need such an open view, live the humble countryside, not a thriving city.
