Amazing that a much more skilled individual than I could cartwheel continuously in front of 3 supertall buildings (provided someone blocked traffic, of course). Or 4 if you count the Equinox tower.

Yeah, I can remember when we thought the WTC would have the most supertall action in the city. It may have the tallest overall, but for supertall watchers, Hudson Yards, billionaire's row, and now midtown east have taken more of a lead.

Here, I'm just getting used to accepting the fact that the skyline has supertall fillers, and not every 1,000 ft building is going to be something skyline defining.

I often get distracted when riding my bike. I look at things around while riding as fast as I can, forgetting to focus on what I actually do.
That caused me to have multiple arguments with pedestrians, car and even bus drivers.

I badly fell off my bike 3 weeks ago. The fall hurt one of my left ribs that I'd already cracked from a bad snowboard fall in the Alps years ago.
Hell, it's been painful. A cracked rib hurts, but it's most often nothing serious. It just causes pain and annoyance.

I'm feeling better right now. I think the rib is just about fixed again. I'll just be much more careful when I ride my bike in town from now.

Yeah, so do I, most often, though. I'm not suicidal, lol.

Unfortunately, a lot of streets haven't been properly redeveloped yet, so you often find yourself in the middle of cars, especially at intersections.
I guess it's still often the same over there in NY. Wasn't the guy on the picture turning to his left by the way? I suppose he would still be in the red bus lane otherwise.

Some people are still scared of biking the city. They find it unsafe.
At first, I thought it was laughable. Nevertheless, there would be more and more cyclists injured or killed in traffic. The thing is the number of cyclists increased in a spectacular way over the past few years over here, thanks to bike paths and lanes, precisely.
You know, cycling is something very advertised and fashionable these days. They mention the Netherlands and Denmark... They say we all should do the same so cities would be less polluted and more friendly. It is also healthy, like some good daily workout.

They're just concerned about the statistics showing that cyclists are more and more involved in bad crashes.
They're right. It may be fun and pleasant as leisure, you have to be cautious when you bike in town.

That will be the conclusion for my digression.

Video from the Dronalist...

Video Link

It gives a good look at the new towers, and relationship with the observation deck. I guess it's probably a good thing that none of the neighboring towers are as high as the Edge.

And to think, there's still so much more to come over here. All possible from the extension of a single subway line. And btw, think of the amount of demolition that would have taken place in the more traditional parts of town to create this mini-city.
