I love this picture. Looking forward to the finished product. Very hopeful this will be a catalyst for exponential growth. Hopefully upwards.
Every time I see this picture, I cringe at that vast sea of asphalt across the street. I realize it's parking for Heritage Court, but wouldn't it be great if there was a parking structure there. A smaller footprint for parking would open up another big chunk of surface parking for development. Probably a money thing though.

I Was born in Moncton in 1965 and grew up in the old west end maybe a mile from that lot, As early as 3 or4 years old I can remember going toEaton's. I do not mind the lot you are talking about as it was always a parking lot, Milton's diner was at the front of the lot. but it was a always lot.

you are right it is a waste of space, but the lots closer to assumption building, the old police station really bother me as homes small businesses were ripped down to make a sea of asphalt and they need to go first.

Still working on the foundation and underground parking. It is however a very active construction site.

It's going to be really interesting watching the construction progress once they get above ground. Three towers at fifteen floors each!

I can’t get over the size of the foot print on building #1.

This is a massive development.

New Huddle article regarding 20 Record Street:

Construction Ahead Of Schedule On Downtown Moncton Apartment Complex
Oct 11, 2021 by Sam Macdonald
https://huddle.today/construction-ah...tment-complex/

Main takeaways:

- Lafford began construction in July, rather than September as anticipated.
- Tower One is to be complete by September 2023. The next two towers will be finished in 2025 and 2027.

Phase one of the construction project will boast between 200,000-215,000 square feet of floor space, 150 apartment units and will also accommodate 13,000 square feet of commercial space on the ground floor. The second two towers will add another 300 apartment units for a grand total of 450.

Each tower will feature underground parking, one and two-bedroom apartments and penthouse suites.

I drove by the site earlier today. A large portion of the concrete floor has been poured and a lot of the remainder has been prepped. It looks like it won't be long before the entire floor is done.

It appears foundation work for tower one is complete. Rebar for the structural columns are now visible for the ground level of the podium. Things are progressing rapidly.

There was a line up of several cement trucks when I drove by on Thursday. They are indeed progressing rapidly.

Does the building also stretch along the back side as well? I’ve seen the podium area, but I’m curious as on the original drawings it shows building A is the largest of them all by square footage. Maybe I’m dreaming?

Yes, what is being built now is the foundation for the common podium for towers one and two.

Ah? Okay perfect! That’s what I thought, it’s just so hard to tell without a photo from above.

Yes, but only the section of the podium sitting under the first two towers is being built now.

With the city planning to overhaul Lutz Street south of Main, I really hope they get rid of that ugly electrical sub station at the corner of Lutz & Assomption. That would create a nice corner lot that could be developed.
