400 lsd has some sort of lawsuit again court date is august, Spire developer is appealing to get back his property one last time That's why theres nothing rn.

1-Jul-19 – More than $1 billion, and perhaps vindication, hangs in the balance as a federal judge in Chicago considers arguments against her dismissal of a lawsuit by a developer who tried to build a 2,000-foot-tall residential building along the Chicago River.
Garrett Kelleher says his Chicago Spire project, started in 2006, was derailed in 2013 by National Asset Management Agency, which was created in 2009 by the government of Ireland to acquire property development loans from Irish banks.
He is asking for the dismissal to be vacated and that he be allowed to present the case to a Chicago jury. With less than 24 hours’ notice, a status hearing scheduled for June 27 was rescheduled to August 7.

In July 2013, the Spire site and loans to Kelleher that were acquired by National Asset Loan Management were sold to RMW Acquisition Company, doing business as The Related Companies, for about $35 million. A proposal by Related Midwest for two slender towers on the site was rejected by the city but the Chicago firm has until next February to revise its plan.

New looks inside the 47-story ‘Cirrus’ condo tower headed to Lakeshore East

The bKL-designed high-rise will break ground in September

By Jay Koziarz Jul 22, 2019, 12:26pm CDT

As the 47-story condo tower known as Cirrus readies to break ground, its developers have released a fresh batch of renderings showing interiors of the Lakeshore East project’s planned 363 units.

Ranging from 650 to 3,000 square feet, the for-sale residences are priced from mid-$400,000 to $4 million. They are offered in one-, two-, three-, and four-bedroom layouts, plus two townhome residences at ground level and 15 penthouse units located on floors 42 through 47.

Features include floor-to-ceiling windows, quartzite countertops, high-end appliances, cabinetry, and fixtures. Pre-sales launched in April, and the initial response has been “positive,” according to a spokesperson from LendLease which is co-developing the project with Magellan.

The condo project is expected to break ground at 211 N. Harbor Drive in September, according to LendLease. It will rise simultaneously alongside a new 37-story, 503-unit apartment building slated for the parcel to the immediate west. Known as Cascade, this rental project was awarded its first construction permit on Friday.

Cascade and Cirrus will eventually be joined by a third, unnamed residential skyscraper which will rise 950 feet above Lake Shore Drive. The design of all three buildings comes from Lakeshore East-based bKL Architecture.

167 N Green Will this have 2 cranes? I've never seen that base. It doesn't look like it is too anchored in but it also does not look like an additional crane segment.

the perspective is hard to tell precisely, but it does make Cirrus look a little bit taller than the neighboring parkshore condos to my eye, and parkshore is 564' tall, so maybe that puts Cirrus at around the 575' mark.
