MAPS park site is almost 100% acquired. There are still a few buildings left to be torn down, like the Salvation Army building and a few others around it. I've seen plans for the park but I do not believe that they are finalized (for either the north or south stretches).

No movement on the CC even though it has been moved to the front of M3 projects. I haven't even seen final renderings for this project.

Still waiting on the FHWA to finalize their study, post Friends for a Better Boulevard movement. They have been working on the west end, west of Western Avenue but everything east of there is still up in the air.

No one knows what will come of the Cox Convention Center after the new one is built. The favorite though would be for the site to be dozed down and returned to the original grid with Broadway continuing south to Reno Avenue and turning California into some kind of pedestrian corridor between the Intermodal Hub and the Myriad Botanical Gardens with the four new city blocks being sold off for private development.

Here is the current convention center/hotel site plan.

The faint red box shows where the underground main exhibit halls and loading docks will be located so that the building doesn't have to have any blank walls or back sides.

Another residential project in Midtown with just over 40 units.

This is another rendering of the 330 apartments that will go in across the street.

Headquarters of OPUBCO (the parent company of OKC's newspaper/media empire) will move to this renovated building downtown.

And this vacant beauty on the west edge of downtown will become a 21c Museum Hotel. Concept is a nice hotel with interesting interiors in a historic building with cultural exhibits and gallery space. Other locations are in Louisville, Cincinnati, and Bentonville.

This development will be a new anchor for the Film Row area of downtown which has taken off over the last 2 years.

And up to 3 more towers are coming

http://newsok.com/more-towers-are-co...rticle/3915397

"There is one more tower now firmly in development beyond what is being shown in renderings today. And I’m tracking up to two more towers, one of which also is appearing to be an increasingly real deal as well. If * current trends continue, this skyline has a lot of change yet to take place."

I know there are some people that are disappointed about the height for the new Stage Center tower, but not every tower needs to be large. This is good infill!

Two midrises with class a office space, hotel, residential, retail and parking garage and good street interaction, I love this kind of infill.

Checking in from the west coast, L.A. to be exact, checking things out in other cities.... I couldn't help but notice that the very first picture on this thread is a Black and white sketch of a partial L.A skyline......who idea was that ? LOL.... on another note.... Great developments going on in OKC

its amazing how this almost comes out of nowhere and blows away the stage center conceptual renderings.

hope it comes to fruition, would be a nice boost to the new boulevard corridor and would push development further south

The Western portion is finished minus landscaping and small details. They have just started on the rest, in sections. Check out OKCTalk for full details.
